Flower c 11 mm across at widest

Occasional but locally frequent, by burns and flushes in mountains, sometimes continuing downstream to lower altitudes.

Plants c 10-25 cm high.  Flower diameter c 7-12 mm

ID: Stem more or less hairless apart from lines of hairs down the two raised ridges.  Leaves darkish green, with a bluish tinge, not pale like Alpine Willowherb.  Leaves about 1.5-2 x as long as wide, rounded to the base.

Other features: Leaves distantly sinuate-toothed, the toothing more emphatic than the faint toothing sometimes visible in Alpine W.  Sepals often dark red.  Flowers somewhat nodding in bud.  Spreads by below-ground stolons with pairs of yellowish scales in place of leaves.
