Occasional in wet ground at high altitude, descending to as low as 150 m in the far north. Stems to c 20 cm. Flowers c 3-5 mm diameter ID: Leaves flattened, all in the same plane, in a basal tuft, like those of the very common Bog Asphodel. Flowers as shown. Other features: Petals rounded instead of pointed as in Bog Asphodel, and coloured greenish- or yellowish-white. Each flower has a 3-lobed bract at the base of its stalk. Stem leaves very few or nil, much smaller than basal leaves. |
