Picture c 1.8 cm wide

Very common in boggy ground

Flower diameter c 10-15 mm

ID: Flower as shown with 6 narrow yellow petals and 6 yellow hairy stamens with curved orange anthers at tip.  Nothing else like it in the area.

Other features: After flowering, its orange-brown fruit-capsules are a striking feature of any walk in boggy areas.  In the winter the plant turns straw-brown and remains highly visible.  Bottom three pictures show it through the seasons.  Leaves all in one plane, in a sort of curved fan arrangement from the base.
