Frequent on tree bases or rocks in shady humid conditions. A small plant looking like a moss or liverwort, frond c 2-12 cm long, ultimate segments of frond c 2-3 mm long. ID: If indusia present, told by their untoothed margins (see picture below). Otherwise, told by dark veins reaching to tip of frond-segments. Other features: Pinnae at angle to rachis so not all in same plane but overlap like tiles. Fronds tend to stick out at an angle from rock surface instead of hanging down like Tunbridge Filmy Fern. Indusia longer than broad, not flattened. |
