Abundant; dominant plant over large areas of moorland. Flower c 3-5 mm long. Leaves c 1-2 mm long. ID: Calyx and the smaller corolla within it both pink-purple. Other features: Flower has 4 narrow purple calyx-like lobes at the base of the true calyx. Leaves tightly inrolled below, in 4 closely-packed rows up the side-shoots, well separated on the main stems. |
