Occasional weed of cultivated ground. Flower diameter c 15-25 mm ID: All leaves bristly, many of the lower leaves with a large lobe on one side near the base, as well as sometimes small leaflets below the main leaf-blade. Upper leaves do not clasp stem as in Brassica, and are not lobed but merely toothed. Pod has a conical beak which is more than a third of the pod's overall length (including beak). Other features: Sepals spreading at various angles, usually some downturned or horizontal, not appressed to the petal-tube. |
