Occasional on bare sand or gravel Flower diameter c 3-5 mm ID: Similar to S marina and S media but has conspicuous silvery stipules at the base of each whorl of leaves. Leaves end in short bristle. Other features: More or less prostrate, with narrow pointed-tipped non-fleshy leaves. Flowers pinkish, paler at the base. Petals shorter than sepals. Leaves dull, not bright green like Sea Spurreys. Does not require saline habitats. Seeds not winged. |
